maybe the oil pressure switch has a internal leakage. That can be also the reason for burning redlight.

But be careful! Don't start the engine until the reason for burning redlight is clarified! You risk a engine damage!

oil level is ok, maybey little to much.
this leaves the possibility of faulty oilpump or pressure switch, i don`t think the oil circuit is stuck.

after wiping the area clean i can see the oil dripping out of the top of (where wire is connected) pressure switch when the engine is running idle,i bet the switch is defect.

oil is dripping out when i losen the switch, i didn`t remove it,i think oil level is little over the max.
when leo is on middle stand is oil comming out of the hole when switch is removed?

freddie

p.s

youre roller did over 100.000 km ?

Good morning,
that's not normal. Normally you can remove the switch without losing oil. Remove some oil, so you come under the max-level.

I had the same problem some years ago. With oil inside the switch, the contact is always closed, so the light is burning. After changing the switch, everything is ok.

Be careful to not exceed the maximum oil-level!

Yes, my Leo did more than 100.000km. With the first engine, no big problems, only broken rocking lever and cylinder head gasket. And some worn out variomatics ;)

ok thanks for info,i removed the switch and put in a short bolt.
i will order a new switch.

still need some info on measuring oil, both wheels on ground or just on middle stand on flat ground.
i think the dipstick in turned in completely.

Oil measuring: middle stand on flat ground, completely inturned dipstick.

thnx,

last doubt.. on middle stand is rear wheel of the ground?

because i read in manual "measure with both wheels on the ground".

and what if middlestand is removed (like i did because of broken spring)

sorry for silly question

ok ,i`ve made a test i hooked up a "wasserwage" on the the engine and pinned it on 0 degrees with both weels on the ground.

next i put the scooter on middle stand and did a measurement again, there was a very very little differance, not to mention.

conclusion;

i will measure oillevel on middlestand because its difficult to keep the scooter horizontal end vertical at the same time cleaning and screw in the dipstick without moving the scooter and make a bad measuring.
